Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık is among those recommended for release from the hospital on the grounds that he carries a risk of leukemia recurrence.
The hospital report stated that Çalık is considered high-risk for leukemia recurrence and requires close hematological follow-up.
For this reason, it was stated that his sentence should be served at home.
Çalık had recently undergone surgery due to the danger of his cancer recurring and was subsequently sent back to prison.
