Lawyer Ece Güner, who was arrested as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Ahbap Association, has been released.
Güner was arrested on July 16 on charges of "being a member of an organization established for the purpose of committing crimes," "misconduct in office," and "laundering assets derived from crime." According to Sözcü, Güner was released after approximately three months of detention.
During her detention, Güner made statements regarding the allegations against her, arguing that she had no criminal relationship with the Ahbap Association or its founder, Haluk Levent.
