"Reşo Ağa" operation in Ankara: 15 suspects, including Özkan Aydemir, in custody
In an investigation coordinated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 15 suspects were apprehended following warrants issued for charges of extortion.
As part of an investigation coordinated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out against 15 suspects, including Özkan Aydemir, who is said to have introduced himself as "Reşo Ağa".
Following efforts by teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch, detention warrants were issued for the suspects, who were assessed to have been acting in concert across the province.
In a statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that the suspects were determined to have threatened complainants with weapons to extort money or real estate, and to have committed the crime of plunder.
It was reported that all 15 suspects for whom detention warrants were issued have been apprehended. It is understood that the investigation is continuing with processing at the police station.
