Retired Colonel Hasan Atilla Uğur detained in Kaşif Kozinoğlu investigation

A new detention order has been executed as part of the investigation into the suspicious death of former MİT official Kaşif Kozinoğlu in Silivri Prison in 2011.

Within the scope of the decision by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, retired Gendarmerie Colonel Hasan Atilla Uğur, who was in the same cell as Kozinoğlu at the time, was detained. It was stated that Uğur was taken into custody during passport control at Istanbul Airport while returning from Cyprus and was taken to the Maslak Gendarmerie Command.

As part of the investigation, former prosecutors Ali İşgören and Necip Doğan, who were dismissed due to their ties to "FETÖ," as well as retired Navy Captain Hasan Ataman, who also shared a cell with Kozinoğlu, were detained the previous day. It was learned that the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had also issued an arrest warrant for Hasan Atilla Uğur, who was in Cyprus.

Speaking to the website Notbir following the arrest warrant, Uğur had stated, "We told what we knew back then, and we will tell it again now."
