Selçuk Kozağaçlı detained again
Shortly after his release, a new arrest warrant was issued for Selçuk Kozağaçlı, and he was taken into custody.
Selçuk Kozağaçlı, Honorary President of the Progressive Lawyers Association (ÇHD), was taken back into custody following an objection by the prosecutor's office after he had been released from Marmara Prison in Silivri yesterday evening. The prosecutor's office appealed his release and issued an arrest warrant.
Kozağaçlı, who was arrested in 2017 on charges of 'membership in a terrorist organization,' had been released after 8 years. In a statement following his release, he had said, 'The evil done to us will end, the persecution will cease. We will create a life of dignity together.'
However, following the prosecutor's objection, a new arrest warrant was issued for Kozağaçlı, and he was detained in accordance with this decision.
