Serious allegations against former president Adil Gevrek at Yeni Malatyaspor

Yeni Malatyaspor's new president, Haşim Karadağ, and the board of directors have submitted allegations of financial irregularities from the club's past periods to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Lawyer Aydın İşkur, the club's Vice President in charge of Legal Affairs, stated that they have reached serious findings during the investigations they have dubbed "Operation Clean Hands."

THE DETERMINED STANCE OF THE NEW MANAGEMENT

Lawyer İşkur said, "We are working to return Yeni Malatyaspor to its former glory by uncovering the irregularities at the club. We will defend the rights of the people of Malatya and the club to the end." Stating that a large amount of data was deleted from the computers and that some of it has been recovered, İşkur added, "The deleted files are being examined by expert teams, and serious results are emerging."

INTERNATIONAL MONEY TRANSFERS

According to the allegations, money transfers were carried out via mail order from countries such as Brazil, Chile, and Canada. While the club's revenue was 100 million dollars in the first half of 2022, there is currently a debt of 1.5 billion. İşkur said, "Such transactions are considered proceeds of crime, and we are questioning whether Yeni Malatyaspor was used for this purpose."

The club had procured services from companies owned by Fevzi Gevrek, a relative of former president Adil Gevrek, under the guise of cleaning and security services. Although no services were received in 2024, 20 million lira was paid to these companies. There was also an inflow of 8.5 million lira from Gaziantep. İşkur stated, "Former executives must be held accountable for these types of transactions and unrecorded funds."

The new management of Yeni Malatyaspor stated that they will pursue these allegations and fight to ensure that justice is served.
