Sexual assault investigation in Siverek, Şanlıurfa: 14 suspects arrested
In the investigation conducted in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa, 14 out of 20 detained suspects have been arrested and sent to prison.
Fourteen out of 20 suspects detained as part of an investigation launched into sexual assault allegations in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa have been arrested.
According to a statement from the Siverek District Governorate, the investigation into the incident that occurred on June 16 in the rural Canpolat neighborhood was conducted under the charges of "sexual assault," "deprivation of liberty," "aiding and abetting a criminal," and "threats."
The statement noted that there are no remaining fugitive suspects in the investigation. It was reported that 20 suspects were apprehended as a result of efforts carried out under the instruction and coordination of the Siverek Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Four of the suspects were released under judicial control, and two were released after their statements were taken. The 14 suspects were arrested and sent to prison.
