The Competition Authority has launched an investigation into the digital music platform Spotify.
According to information on the Authority's website, the impact of the strategies Spotify follows in Turkey on competition will be evaluated.
Within the scope of the investigation, allegations that Spotify is making it difficult for its competitors to operate and is discriminating against artists and content creators will be addressed.
Furthermore, complaints regarding the provision of greater visibility to certain artists and the implementation of unfair practices in the distribution of royalties will also be examined in detail.
Whether these practices violate the Law on the Protection of Competition will also be a focal point of the investigation.
