Statement of the attacker who murdered a young lawyer in Bursa revealed. Footage contradicts the suspect
Young lawyer Hatice Kocaefe lost her life in an armed attack carried out by Hakkı Çetin, who was facing enforcement proceedings initiated due to a debt in Gürsu. In his statement, the attacker defended himself, claiming that someone else was the target. However, the emerging footage contradicted the suspect.
In an incident that occurred in the Gürsu district of Bursa, 26-year-old lawyer Hatice Kocaefe lost her life. It was stated that the murder suspect, Hakkı Çetin, had threatened the party that initiated enforcement proceedings against him for failing to pay his debt, and that Kocaefe became a target because she was one of those who put his check into enforcement.
It was learned that the killer said in his statement to the police, “I had aimed the gun at Elif Ç., I shot Hatice by mistake. I was very angry because they applied for enforcement.”
Lawyer Hatice Kocaefe was a legal professional who had participated in international events and had goals of advancing in her career. Her untimely death caused deep sorrow among her family and colleagues.

INVESTIGATION PROCESS
It was stated that in his testimony, suspect Hakkı Çetin explained the debt relationship between himself and the people he did business with, and said that he was very angry about being taken to enforcement despite informing them that he would pay the checks. The suspect, who was referred to the courthouse, and a total of five people accused of aiding him were arrested. Two people were released under judicial control conditions.
BACKGROUND OF THE INCIDENT
The incident took place on Monday at 17:00 in the Ağaköy neighborhood of Gürsu. It was alleged that Hakkı Çetin made threats against two sisters after Elif Çalışkan, with whom he had a dispute over pear sales, responded with enforcement proceedings through her lawyer sister, Hatice Kocaefe. The tension escalated further after Kocaefe did not abandon the legal process.
Hatice and Elif, who were going to their workplace with family members, became targets in an attack where their path was blocked by a car. In the armed attack, Elif Çalışkan was wounded in the knee, while Hatice Kocaefe was seriously injured by a bullet that hit her chest. Despite the intervention of medical teams arriving at the scene, Kocaefe lost her life. Elif Çalışkan was taken under treatment at the hospital, and it was learned that her health condition is good.
CRIMINAL RECORDS REVEALED
As a result of the operation launched by the gendarmerie and police teams, Hakkı Çetin, who fled the scene, was caught in a residence apartment in the Nilüfer district. It was determined that Çetin had a prior criminal record for five separate offenses. Deepening the investigation, security forces detained four more people determined to have assisted in the attack.
FOOTAGE CONTRADICTS THE SUSPECT
However, security camera recordings that entered the investigation file revealed that the suspect had been driving around the village square for a while before the incident.
In the footage, it was seen that the suspect was wandering in the same area and, after a while, headed toward the point where the attack took place.
The suspect, who stated in his testimony that he fired after seeing Elif Çalışkan and stopped firing when he noticed other people in the vicinity, explained that he fled rapidly after the incident and tried to hide by going to different locations.
Later caught in the house where he was hiding, the suspect also handed over the weapon he used in the incident to the police.
