The Turkey connection in the Epstein file... Criminal complaint from the Association of Children and Women First

New details continue to emerge daily regarding the sex trafficking scandal involving U.S. billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of creating a network for child sexual abuse, pedophilia, and prostitution targeting girls under 18, with the youngest being 14, and who died by suicide in prison in 2019 before his trial. Most recently, it was alleged that the network established by Epstein extended to Turkey. The Association of Children and Women First has filed a criminal complaint to investigate allegations that there are Turkish connections and that children from Turkey were also ensnared in the criminal gang's network.

The association requested that the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiate an investigation under Article 80 of the Turkish Penal Code regarding human trafficking, Article 103 regarding child sexual abuse, and Article 227 regarding crimes related to prostitution.

'A TURKISH NAME IS INVOLVED'

The following statements were included in the criminal complaint filed by the Association of Children and Women First regarding the Epstein case: 

“Due to the presence of a question asking, 'It is alleged that Jeffrey Epstein also transported other underage girls from Turkey, the Czech Republic, Asia, and other countries. Are you aware of this?' and the fact that a Turkish name identified as being within the system is included in the files and documents shared in connection with the case, the allegations that children from our country were also included in this horrific criminal network by the aforementioned suspect and other suspects to be identified must be investigated urgently.”

'RETRIAL MUST BE CONDUCTED IN TURKEY'

The investigation file, which states that these acts should be considered as crimes committed in Turkey based on the fact that they were carried out in Turkey, continues: 'Even if a verdict has been reached in the United States regarding the suspect and other suspects to be identified, the necessity of conducting a retrial in Turkey is a clear provision of the Law. Therefore, it is essential that an effective investigation be conducted on this matter in our country as well, and that a public lawsuit be filed against the suspects and a trial be held as a result.'
