A verdict has been reached in the case concerning the death of singer Gül Tut, known to the public as “Güllü.” The artist's daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of “premeditated murder of a lineal ascendant.”
Gül Tut died under suspicious circumstances on September 26, 2025, after falling from the window of her sixth-floor apartment in Yalova. In the trial opened following her death, Gülter was tried as the sole defendant.
With the decision announced today in the two-session trial, the court ruled for the aggravated life sentence requested for the defendant.
It was reported that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter began to cry after the verdict was announced.
