5 individuals released in drug investigation involving celebrities
In a drug investigation targeting celebrities launched by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 5 suspects were released with travel bans imposed as a precautionary measure.
A drug operation targeting celebrities was carried out by the Terror and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
In the operation, conducted in coordination with the Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Anti-Narcotics Branch, detention warrants were issued for 14 suspects identified as being involved in the crimes of "purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants for personal use," "using drugs or stimulants," and "supplying drugs or stimulants."
During the search and seizure activities, 11 suspects were taken into custody, while it was determined that 2 suspects were being sought as fugitives and 1 suspect was abroad.
Travel ban for 5 suspects
Burak Deniz, Emir Can İğrek, Elif Büşra Pekin, Ogün Alibaş, and Enes Güler, whose prosecution statements were completed and who were referred to the duty magistrate judge, were released with travel bans imposed as a precautionary measure.
