A bittersweet Mother's Day for the mother of Taha Duymaz, who lost 3 children in the earthquake

Taha Duymaz, who lived in the Güveççi Neighborhood of Hatay's Yayladağı district and won the affection of millions in a short time by sharing recipes of the meals he cooked on social media, lost his life in the earthquake that occurred on February 6.

Taha Duymaz and his 2 siblings, who were caught in the earthquake while staying at their aunt's house in the Antakya district and lost their lives, were laid to rest in the Güveççi Neighborhood.

Mother Meryem Duymaz, who lost 3 children in the earthquake, is experiencing a bittersweet Mother's Day. Living with the longing for her children and crying all day, mother Duymaz recalled the beautiful days she experienced in previous years, saying, "Taha was a very good child and was very devoted to me. He would bring me gifts on Mother's Day."

''I CRIED AT HOME ALL DAY''

Stating that her son Taha Duymaz, who became a phenomenon with the meals he cooked, never neglected to bring her gifts on Mother's Day, Meryem Duymaz said, "Umut, Melek, and Taha, all 3 of my children passed away in the earthquake. Their aunt and her husband also passed away in the same room, 5 people in total. Taha was a very good child and was very devoted to me. He would bring me gifts on Mother's Day. Once he brought a bracelet, once he brought a watch. On one Mother's Day, he bought a dress. It is very difficult, may God not let anyone experience this. I cried at home all day. If Taha were here, he would have brought me many gifts."
