A global project from İstanbul Aydın University: The digital future in construction
The second progress meeting for the Erasmus+ project titled “CAPTURING THE KNOW-HOW OF PROFESSIONALS IN CONSTRUCTION USING ONLINE LEARNING,” led by Prof. Dr. Gökhan Arslan, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at İstanbul Aydın University, is being held at the Warsaw University of Technology in Poland on October 3-4, 2024. The project aims to align civil engineering education with Industry 4.0 and present industry expertise on a digital platform.
The second progress and evaluation meeting for the European Union-supported Erasmus+ project “CAPTURING THE KNOW-HOW OF PROFESSIONALS IN CONSTRUCTION USING ONLINE LEARNING,” for which Prof. Dr. Gökhan Arslan, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at İstanbul Aydın University, is the intellectual creator, is being held at the Warsaw University of Technology in Poland on October 3, 2024.
The meeting will conclude on October 4, Friday, following two days of academic work.
Through this project, civil engineering education will be brought into alignment with technologies evolving under Industry 4.0.
Recorded industry experiences will be integrated with academic training to be digitized, and short, problem-solving-oriented videos supported by animations will be prepared.
The meeting is attended by project partners, including Prof. Dr. Gökhan Arslan, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at İstanbul Aydın University; Project Leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serkan Kıvrak and Learning Expert Aydın Akgün from Eskisehir Technical University; Dr. Ahmet Çıtıpıtıoğlu on behalf of TAV Construction; Dr. Volkan Arslan from Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University; Kazım Çelik from Çelik Construction; and Prof. Dr. Andrzej Minasowicz and Dr. from the Warsaw University of Technology.
Jacek Zawistowski, Dr. Pawel Novak, and Dr. from the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers. Jerzy Roslon, Dr. Nabi Ibadov, and representatives from Vilnius University in Lithuania. Dr. Airida Tyliene,
and Dr. Andrius Gulbinas participated.
Following the meeting, it was determined that the processes are proceeding as planned, and it was decided that the next evaluation meeting will be held at Vilnius University in Lithuania during the Spring Semester.
