Television and film actor Ali Sürmeli's Instagram account was used to post claims that he had forced a woman to have an abortion and had evaded taxes.

Sürmeli stated that his account had been compromised and that he had initiated legal proceedings.

'WE HAD A JOINT ACCOUNT'

Sürmeli said, "I suspect that the posts on my account were made by a woman I was in a relationship with for two years. I have already told this to the prosecutor's office. We had a joint account. We had bought a safe. We put all the assets I had earned from my work there, and she had the keys." and added:

"She was responsible for all my financial affairs. When she emptied the safe, I stopped speaking to her. Later, she came back and we reconciled. I pretended to reconcile just to get back all the assets I had held until then. Since I am an actor, life sometimes helps actors a lot. I got the keys to the safe back from her. Then those posts were made from my social media account."

'I BELIEVE IN JUSTICE'

In the posts made from his Instagram account, the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and the Narcotics Police were tagged, alleging that he had evaded taxes and used harmful substances. In his statement to Birsen Altuntaş, Sürmeli said, "All the allegations are baseless. When I went to the prosecutor's office to file a criminal complaint, I told a police officer there, 'I know what a ban is, but I don't know what MASAK is.' She is someone who knows all of these things. For two years, she took care of everything of mine. She also managed my Instagram account."

My Instagram was blocked for a while, and she was the one who had it reopened. I have a good lawyer, and the prosecutor's office is following everything. There was no love between us anyway, but I no longer trust women. I believe in justice, and I especially believe in divine justice." he said.

BACKGROUND OF THE INCIDENT

The first post made from Ali Sürmeli's Instagram account stated, "I have decided to confess my major sins because living with these feelings of guilt makes me feel dirty."

A short time later, a new post was made, this time alleging that Sürmeli had forced actress Didem Karataş to have an abortion, stating, "I didn't want the child because she was the age of my grandchild. I had her forcibly aborted by my sister, Gülben Sürmeli, who is a hospital midwife."

Following the posts, Ali Sürmeli opened a new Instagram account and stated, "Yesterday afternoon, my Instagram account was seized by some malicious individuals, and false posts far from the truth were made from the account."
