Confession from actor Sarp Akkaya: 'I had a difficult childhood'
Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan's program Empati, which airs on NTV, featured actor Sarp Akkaya as its latest guest.
Speaking about his career, Sarp Akkaya stated, "I am selective when it comes to roles. I expect there to be something that interests, intrigues, and excites me in what I play. It's about my standard of living; I am from Kadıköy, I don't have a dream of a house with a sea view, and I have no goal of living in a mansion apartment."

'IT CAUSED DAMAGE'

Sarp Akkaya, who has two other siblings who are also actors, said that he had a very difficult childhood because he was a child of divorced parents.
Akkaya expressed his experiences with the words, "I was 13 when my parents decided to separate. This creates damage in a child, and it did in me too. It was a difficult process from the age of 13 to 22. Being a child of divorced parents wore me out a lot. I remember walking around the house wondering when I would grow up. Why would a child want to grow up?"
