Actress Ecem Karavus, whom we know from series such as 'Pis Yedili', 'Muhteşem Yüzyıl' and 'Dinle Sevgili', had previously posted a video in recent weeks stating that she was subjected to psychological abuse by her family and could not reach her disabled cats.

'A SIGN OF PURE EVIL'

Karavus said, "I am experiencing a very bad example of the domestic psychological and economic violence that many women in this country are exposed to. For 50 days, I have been unable to reach my personal belongings and my disabled cats, whom I have cared for like the apple of my eye. Leaving a person as if they have just emerged from a disaster is a sign of pure evil. Throughout my life, I have always been nourished by kindness and by touching lives.

I even stood up to my own family for women's rights. Remember that nothing that happens is about you; you just happened to encounter very bad people during an unlucky period of time. I know that in some places you feel forced to remain silent. You are not alone, do not stay silent," she had said, bringing the issue to the agenda.

'I WILL APPLY TO THE COURT'

Stating that she will take her family to court, Karavus said, "I have reached my disabled cats. However, they have destroyed my belongings and jewelry. More than half of them are gone! I will apply to the court for this."

WHO IS ECEM KARAVUS?

Ecem Karavus was born on April 9, 1989, in Sarıyer, Istanbul. The actress, who lived in Antalya for a while, returned to Istanbul after winning a place at Istanbul University's Faculty of Letters, Department of Modern Greek Language and Literature.

She had her first acting experience in the series 'Dinle Sevgili' in 2011; in addition to the series 'Muhteşem Yüzyıl', 'Pis Yedili', 'Alın Yazım' and 'Hayati ve Diğerleri', she has appeared in motion pictures such as 'Vezir Parmağı', 'Bayram Abi', 'Alın Yazım' and '9 On'.

Ecem Karavus most recently portrayed the character of Filiz in the series 'Hayati ve Diğerleri', which aired in 2017.
