Actress Melisa Döngel addresses boat vacation claims: Cem Garipoğlu allegations had sparked backlash

Spotted in Istanbul's Bebek district the other day, Döngel expressed her discomfort at being associated with a subject that has caused public sensitivity. The actress emphasized that certain photos circulating on social media were misinterpreted and that she did not attend such an event.

Döngel made a statement regarding the claim that she attended a boat party in Bodrum organized by Kasım Garipoğlu, the cousin of Münevver Karabulut's murderer, Cem Garipoğlu. Döngel said, "I was very upset by the reports claiming 'she was on that boat'."

Breaking her silence following the allegations, Döngel reacted to the speculation directed at her, stating, "I was very upset by the reports claiming 'she was on that boat'."

Melisa Döngel also spoke about her vacation in Bodrum. 

Döngel:

"I was on vacation with my boyfriend, and we had a great time. I did not go on vacation with anyone other than my manager and my boyfriend. I was very upset by the reports claiming 'she was on that boat'. It bothered me that it was claimed I was in places I wasn't with people I wasn't with.

We have already made the necessary statements. I was not there. I was upset, and at first, I didn't even take the remarks personally. They made a comparison using a song. The person who made this claim later said it had nothing to do with me."
