Acun Ilıcalı has acquired a fifty percent stake in the German sports channel SPORT1. Ilıcalı is also the owner of Acunmedya.
In an official statement released by the Swiss media group Highlight Communications, it was stated that 50 percent of SPORT1's shares were sold to ACUNMEDYA for 30 million Euros.
According to a report by Reuters, sports-related reality formats produced by Acunmedya will be broadcast on the SPORT1 channel in the future.
However, there is no information regarding whether the European matches currently broadcast on Exxen will be aired there.
It is alleged that the first production expected to be adapted is 'Exatlon'.
