Acun Ilıcalı reveals what he owes his success to

The #ADFYouth session was held at the ADF 2024, which took place at the NEST Congress Center in the Belek Tourism Region, with the participation of Acun Ilıcalı and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yasin Ekrem Serim.

Acun Ilıcalı answered questions from young people during the program, which was attended by a large number of youths.

Ilıcalı stated that they represent Turkey in many countries and fly the Turkish flag in those nations.

Acun Ilıcalı REVEALS WHAT HE OWES HIS SUCCESS TO

Ilıcalı advised young people not to lose hope, to look at life from a positive perspective, and to understand the value of being healthy.

When asked what he owes his success to, Ilıcalı expressed that he did not prioritize financial gain in his decisions while advancing in his career, and that he took risks in all the decisions he made.

Describing his journey from being a reporter to his current position, Ilıcalı recommended that young people "take calculated risks."

Noting that they have acquired a new channel in Germany, Ilıcalı said they are excited about this development.

When Deputy Minister Serim asked Ilıcalı to evaluate the perception of Turkey abroad since the 1990s, Ilıcalı stated, "I have been traveling the world since 1995. If you ask how much it has changed, I think the perception of Turkey abroad has changed perhaps 5 or 10 times over."

Ilıcalı noted that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is "at the center of issues discussed all over the world, acting as a mediator in the middle of the biggest conflicts," and pointed out that Turkey "makes its power felt to the fullest."

HE EXPLAINED HIS OBSERVATION REGARDING TURKISH TV SERIES

Evaluating the importance of Turkish TV series in the world in terms of cultural diplomacy, Ilıcalı said, "The point reached and the success achieved by our producers in the world of television series is incredible."

Ilıcalı emphasized that the strength of the Turkish economy feeds the TV series sector, and that TV producers successfully represent Turkey globally by creating high-quality series.

Pointing out that Turkish TV series have become quite well-known in many countries around the world, Ilıcalı said, "I am saying this without exaggeration, when I enter America, the police ask me about 'What is Fatmagül's Fault?'"

Stating that sports diplomacy has an effect that softens tensions between countries and brings them closer together, Ilıcalı said, "We see the heavy impact of sports on people, and how it softens that tense diplomacy in the world or how it brings countries closer to each other step by step."

"I WOULD LIKE MORE POSITIVE BROADCASTS"

Stating that it is important to have people in life with whom you can share both pain and happiness, Ilıcalı said, "The most important thing you can do until you are 30 is to find your true friends, to find real friends. Do not isolate yourself. If you have chosen your friends wrongly, make a substitution immediately."

When asked about the trends he wants to see in the television industry in the future, Ilıcalı commented, "I would like to see a change in daytime programming. I would like to see more positive broadcasts that include entertainment in daytime slots."

STATEMENT ON WORKING HOURS

When asked about his previous remarks regarding his opposition to waking up early in the morning, Ilıcalı said, "I want people to wake up happier and more peaceful, and to go to work well-rested."

Stating that the workday should start at 10:30, Ilıcalı said, "I'm not saying it should start at 12:00. You can wake up at 8:00, leave at 9:00, and arrive at work by 10:00. I'm not suggesting we sleep until the afternoon.

But there is no reason for us to be out on the roads at 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning, friends. We won't miss anything. Nothing will be lost with those two hours," he said.
