Ahmet Kaya's brother Mustafa Kaya laid to rest

A funeral ceremony was held for painter and musician Mustafa Kaya at the Zeliha Hatun Mosque in Pendik. Following the funeral prayer performed after the noon prayer, Kaya was laid to rest at the Yeni Şeyhli Cemetery. It was revealed that the famous musician's death was discovered several days later.

Ahmet Kaya's brother Mustafa Kaya laid to rest

Ahmet Kaya's brother, painter and musician Mustafa Kaya, passed away at the age of 70 on February 14 due to a heart attack he suffered at his home.

A funeral ceremony was held for Kaya at the Zeliha Hatun Mosque in Pendik.

In addition to Kaya's loved ones and relatives, the funeral was attended by Ahmet and Mustafa Kaya's sister Songül Kaya, Ahmet Kaya's wife Gülten Kaya, and artist İsmail Hazar.

'MAY HE REST IN PEACE'

Ahmet Kaya's wife, Gülten Kaya, stated: "A great void is left behind by everyone who departs. He undoubtedly left a void for the family as well. It was early, untimely, and unexpected; we were not ready at all. I know that time does not resolve it either. I know this from other pains I have experienced. There is nothing to be done; may he rest in peace."

Artist İsmail Hazar expressed the following:

"He was a man who had severed his ties with worldly values, a person of great heart, living a Sufi-like life. I am very saddened by the way he died. Living alone at home with his two cats, his death was discovered several days later..."
