Akdeniz Lake struggles with waste problem: Gölköy Wetland is in danger
In the Bodrum district of Muğla, the Gölköy Wetland, which is home to nearly 80 bird and fish species and known as a unique natural park for its natural beauty and biodiversity, is struggling to cope with environmental problems in recent days.
12punto has captured images of the natural park turning into a dump.
The Gölköy Wetland, located in the Bodrum district of Muğla, is a shadow of its former self due to discarded waste.
Although the lake, which previously faced the danger of drying up, is a destination frequently visited by locals and nature lovers, it is being polluted by mindlessly discarded waste.
Walking paths, bird-watching points, and picnic areas filled with trash are both saddening and worrying environmentalists.

AKDENİZ LAKE IS SOUNDING THE ALARM
Authorities state that urgent measures must be taken for the 'Gölköy Wetland', also known as Akdeniz Lake, to cope with this environmental problem.
