Algı Eke makes statement on 'Ayşe Barım'

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had initiated an ex officio investigation by accepting the claims in social media posts and news reports about Barım as a formal complaint, and within this scope, imposed a travel ban on Barım.

Following these developments, many actors have made statements regarding the matter.

"SHE BOUGHT THE RIGHTS, CAST HER OWN TWO ACTORS"

Speaking on the YouTube channel Kutsal Motor, actress Algı Eke said the following:

"I performed in a play called '10 Seconds'. With Nergis Öztürk, it lasted for either 2 or 3 years... Ayşe Barım bought the rights to the play we were performing from the author and made a film with her own actors. It was already a theater play. Erdi Işık had written it, then he sold the rights to Ms. Ayşe. Ms. Ayşe then cast her own two actors. The only thing we would be upset about here is this; we can be upset about something done to us. Because we are people with television appeal. If there is no television appeal, you don't put them in a film. I understand that, theater is a different field, but it's not like that. Anyway, these are always the same issues, meaning this doesn't change."
