Allegations regarding Serenay Sarıkaya and her manager stir the art world: Reactions from celebrities

Recently, TV100 columnist Fuat Uğur claimed that a female manager had "received 5 million dollars from the businessman lover of a famous gay male artist." Uğur also alleged that a sham relationship had been created between the artist in question and a female actress. It was widely discussed that the manager mentioned in the report was Ayşe Barım and the actress was Serenay Sarıkaya.

ID İletişim, the company of Ayşe Barım, who is alleged to have monopolized the sector and hindered the work of many actors, published a statement. The statement read, "Our company is a pioneering company in its field that has been providing management services to Turkey's most beloved and appreciated actors since 2002, and practices the management profession in Turkey at world standards. For the past two days, our company's co-founder Ayşe Barım and our actor Serenay Sarıkaya, with whom she has worked for a long time, have been associated with untrue and immoral allegations. We regret to see that an article associated with our company and a valuable actor is once again occupying the agenda in a planned manner months later. We would like to inform the public that we have initiated legal action against those who have made these slanders and are spreading them in a planned manner."

Serenay Sarıkaya also shared this statement from her company on her own social media account.

REACTION MESSAGES FROM ACTORS

Following the statement from ID İletişim, reactions came one after another from actors managed by Ayşe Barım. Hazal Kaya was among the first to show a reaction. She lashed out with the words, "You cannot make such big accusations against anyone with such baseless, unsubstantiated, evidence-free nonsense like 'we heard it that way, we already knew it.' You cannot try to stab someone just because you are uncomfortable with a woman who draws her strength from her mind, her ideas, and most importantly, her vision. You cannot enter a race to make women pay the price just because she is successful, beautiful, talented, and lives her life as she wishes."

Following this, names such as Ezgi Mola, Şükran Ovalı, Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Bergüzar Korel, Aslıhan Gürbüz, Halit Özgür Sarı, Bige Önal, and Sinem Kobal shared the company's statement and supported Serenay Sarıkaya.

In her post, Sinem Kobal stated, "Years of effort and work cannot be undermined by such 'throw mud and let it stick' methods. I condemn this violence carried out with such troll news and uncontrolled, baseless slanders."

Burcu Biricik also reacted to the fact that the situation turned into a huge tabloid issue while the ugliness and injustices in the sector should be discussed.

Metin Akdülger also made a statement with the words, "Note: I wrote this of my own free will; no one pressured me to share it. I just wanted to stand by the women I love, that's all."

Candaş Tolga Işık also reported that Competition Board President Birol Küle said, "Doubts have arisen in our Board that some casting and management companies have created a monopoly in the sector. Upon this, an investigation was launched into these companies a short while ago."
