Alper Rende responded to a follower who criticized his call for the release of detained young people.
In his response, pointing to the events during the protests, Rende stated:
“Whoever throws a Molotov cocktail at the police is no different from a terrorist in my eyes.
Among the young people mentioned, there are innocent youths who are exercising their constitutional rights to protest and are only trying to make their voices heard.”
When these statements by Alper Rende were interpreted as a generalization, he began to face intense criticism.
