Ankara April 23 Wednesday event calendar 2025: National Sovereignty and Children's Day events

The capital, Ankara, is preparing to celebrate the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, which Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gifted to children, with colorful events again this year. The streets of the capital will be decorated with Turkish flags; children and their families will fully enjoy the joy of the holiday with various fun organizations to be held.

ANKARA APRIL 23 EVENTS 2025

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) will celebrate the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day with great enthusiasm again this year.

The April 23 Children's Festival, which will be held with the theme of 'Happiness', will offer over 200 events at nearly 20 different locations to provide unforgettable moments for children in the capital. The center of these events will be the ATA Farm, Turkey's largest agricultural campus.

ABB's Family Life Centers, Youth Centers, Children's Clubs, and Children's Activity Centers will also host art-filled events and workshops between April 21 and April 27.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is welcoming the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day with a colorful event program again this year. In line with the 'Happiness' theme, more than 200 events will be organized at the ATA Farm (BAKAP), Gençlik Park, Family Life Centers, Children's Clubs, and Children's Activity Centers. Children will have a holiday full of stage shows, music recitals, theater plays, dance performances, and various workshops.

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, on the ATA Farm stage, members of the Altındağ, Aktepe, Sincan, Ahmetler, and Batıpark Children's Clubs and Family Life Centers will present judo, taekwondo, folk dance, music, dance, and gymnastics performances. The events will start at 11.00, and the City Orchestra will take the stage with children's songs at 12.30. The program will also include a theater performance by the Embassy of the Netherlands.

Between 12.00 and 15.00, children will participate in creative workshops such as canvas, recycling, ceramics, mandala, stone painting, and marbling, and will have fun with flower planting, face painting, puzzles, and games.

SHUTTLE SERVICES WILL BE ORGANIZED

For transportation to the ATA Farm festival area, free shuttle services will be provided every hour between 10.00 and 20.00 on April 23 from the Kızılay Zafer Bazaar and the Gençlik Park Ulus Metro exit.

FESTIVAL AT GENÇLİK PARK

On April 24-25, between 13.15 and 17.00 at the Gençlik Park Necip Fazıl Hall, members of the Mamak and Altındağ Children's Clubs, Altındağ Youth Center, and Akyurt, Esertepe, Yahyalar, and Mutlu Family Life Centers will present folk dance, gymnastics, animation, dance, music, and theater performances.

In the event, where the Department of Culture and Social Affairs' theater play titled 'Silver Scaled Fish' will also be staged, children will both have fun and learn new things with workshops that will last for two days. On April 26, members of the Sincan Children's Club and the Elvankent and Kuşcağız Family Life Centers will meet with the people of the capital with their performances at the Gençlik Park Grand Hall between 12.00 and 14.00.

The celebrations will not be limited to April 23. From April 21 to April 27, ABB will host various colorful events and workshops at Family Life Centers, Youth Centers, Children's Clubs, and Children's Activity Centers all over the city.
