Another star fades from Yeşilçam... Farewell to a master
Director Günay Kosova, who worked on numerous productions in Yeşilçam, has passed away at the age of 82.
According to a written statement from the Film Industry and All Artists Empowerment Foundation, Kosova, who had been battling Alzheimer's disease for a long time and was staying at the Kayışdağı Darülaceze, passed away last night.
The master director will be laid to rest today following the funeral prayer to be held at the time of the afternoon prayer (ikindi) in Sultanbeyli.
Having worked on 1,700 films in his capacity as a set manager, screenwriter, producer, and director, Günay Kosova was known for films such as "Yarasa Adam Betmen" (Batman), "Çikolata Tarlası" (Chocolate Field), and "Tam İsabet" (Bullseye).
