Appeal rejected: Ozan Güven to enter prison
Ozan Güven, who was sentenced to 2 years and 3 months in prison for assaulting Deniz Bulutsuz, will serve 45 days in prison following the rejection of his appeal.
Famous actor Ozan Güven, who was tried on charges of committing violence against his former girlfriend Deniz Bulutsuz in 2020, had been sentenced to 2 years and 3 months in prison by the local court.
According to a report by Oda TV, following this decision, Güven applied to the Court of Appeal, but as he could not secure a reduction in his sentence, he will serve 45 days in prison.
Following the incident, Güven was forced to leave the series 'Babil' in which he was starring, and later joined the '7 Kocalı Hürmüz' project. However, he was removed from this project as well due to reactions on social media.
In accordance with the Court of Appeal's decision, as his sentence is under 5 years, Güven does not have the right to appeal to the Court of Cassation and will spend a portion of his sentence in prison under the current execution regime. Following the delivery of the reasoned decision in the coming weeks, the famous actor is expected to enter prison within two weeks.
