Arrest warrant issued for Deniz Akkaya

Former model Deniz Akkaya, who has been sharing details on social media about the problems she experienced with her 15-year-old daughter and her family, is now facing an arrest warrant. Akkaya has become involved in a legal dispute with model and social media influencer Miray İpekler.

The former model had previously claimed that she locked her 15-year-old daughter on the balcony because the girl had taken her phone. Following these events, the child was placed under state protection, and later, the father, Efe Önbilgin, applied to the court to request custody of his daughter; it was deemed appropriate for custody to be granted to the father.

While all these events remain a topic of public discussion, Akkaya has now found herself in court with model and social media influencer Miray İpekler. Miray İpekler filed a complaint against Deniz Akkaya with the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

İpekler stated that she has been working as a model for 10 years, lives with her family in Kadıköy, Istanbul, and has never met Akkaya in person, though they have many mutual friends due to working in the same industry.

Noting that she met another influencer, Selin Ciğerci, at a wedding and shared photos they took together on social media, İpekler said, "Deniz Akkaya saw the photos. There is a court case between Ciğerci and Akkaya. Just because of this, she made posts claiming that I was working as an escort in the house where I live with my family. She also shared our private correspondence on social media without my permission or knowledge."

"SHE SHARED MY HOME ADDRESS"

Stating that Deniz Akkaya also spread her home address on social media, İpekler added that Akkaya also made threatening posts against her during a television program.

ARREST WARRANT

Following the complaint, the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into Deniz Akkaya for the crime of "insult."

According to the report by Arzu Kaya from Sabah, Akkaya was summoned to provide a statement as a suspect within the scope of the investigation but did not come to the prosecutor's office to testify.

The prosecutor's office requested an arrest warrant for Akkaya, who did not appear for questioning despite notifications. The Istanbul Anatolian Criminal Court of Peace issued an arrest warrant for Akkaya to have her statement taken.
