Arrest warrant issued for Yasin Obuz following Mehmet Ali Erbil and Serdar Ortaç

Following the house arrest of Mehmet Ali Erbil and Serdar Ortaç in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into allegations of encouraging illegal betting, an arrest warrant has been issued for MasterChef and Survivor contestant Yasin Obuz.

ARREST WARRANT FOR YASİN OBUZ

According to a report by Sabah, the Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate determined that Obuz had made posts constituting a crime. Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that Yasin Obuz had shared 3 illegal betting and gambling sites from an account created in his name on the social media platform Instagram, and had posted content encouraging and promoting gambling. Following the work of law enforcement, the prosecutor's office decided to detain the influencer after the posts in question.

It was determined that Yasin Obuz, who could not be found at his address, had gone abroad on November 5. The prosecutor's office issued an arrest warrant for the influencer, requesting that he be taken into custody wherever he is found and brought in for questioning.

WHO IS YASİN OBUZ?

Yasin Obuz was born on November 21, 1988, in Diyarbakır. Obuz, who received his first sports license in 1998, played football both as an amateur and a professional. In addition to these, he did gymnastics for 2 years during his childhood and also played volleyball and basketball. Obuz, who studied at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Hacettepe University in Ankara, practiced fitness as a sport during his university years. He began learning how to cook because he became interested in the kitchen at university. Realizing that he was happy while cooking, Yasin lived in St. Petersburg, Russia for a period and traveled to approximately 20 countries. He observed the culinary cultures, entertainment styles, and lifestyles of the countries he visited. Yasin, who owns a small business, participated in the MasterChef competition. Yasin Obuz, who became known there, was later selected for Survivor.

Returning from Survivor in 2020, Yasin Obuz opened a hamburger restaurant in Beşiktaş Akaretler, which is among the most luxurious venues in Istanbul.
