Aslı Sümen: 'My husband Chris is almost like a Turk'
2017 Miss Turkey winner, actress, and model Aslı Sümen was the cover guest for the September issue of Mag magazine. In her interview, she made sincere statements about both her career and her private life.
Aslı Sümen, the 2017 Miss Turkey winner, actress, and model who has been using social media actively in recent times, “I loved shooting videos even before I started acting. Using TikTok and shooting dance videos was a form of entertainment for me. Over time, content creation became a part of my job. I am lucky that the world and social media have moved in this direction, and my hobby has turned into a job that I earn money from,” she said.
''I AM NOT SOMEONE WHO LIKES TO SHARE FROM MY DAILY LIFE''
Sümen also shared her thoughts on the digital age: “I am not someone who likes to share from my daily life constantly. Taking photos of every moment prevents me from staying in the moment. As a generation, our perceptions have already been distorted; we only love things if they can be photographed or filmed. That is why I am trying to move away from that cycle. I tend to share things that I find aesthetically pleasing and provide updates about my life at certain intervals, because if I live my life there 24/7, there is nothing left for me.”

''VERY HOSPITABLE, VERY SINCERE''
Aslı Sümen, who married her British partner Chris Bann in Rome last year, answered the question, “How did you manage to create a common language despite coming from different worlds?” as follows: “Chris managed it. You know how they say the British are usually cold? Chris is the exact opposite; he is almost like a Turk. He is very hospitable, very sincere. He might even be more sincere than me. When my mother and grandmother came to visit, he even learned to ask, ‘Would you like some tea?’ and made them tea.”
