Actor, screenwriter, and comedian Ata Demirer was a guest on the program Empati, hosted by Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan.

'I DIDN'T LOSE WEIGHT OVERNIGHT'

Demirer, who has been in the spotlight recently for his weight loss, said, "I have lost 30 kilos. I read things here and there, like he had his intestines washed or he had gastric surgery. Let the viewers know that my glycemic index was off and I had insulin resistance. During this process, I ate properly and exercised. I didn't lose the weight overnight. It took me 2.5 years to lose the weight."

Speaking about the film Bursa Bülbülü, which he wrote, the famous comedian said, "Stories help us summarize and clarify our lives. I made Bursa Bülbülü entirely for those lost years of mine. It captures the Ata who wanted to be a musician from his teens to his 20s, watching the older guys around him, seeing them fall in love with the wrong people and end up in miserable states."

WHAT IS THE PLOT OF BURSA BÜLBÜLÜ?

The film Bursa Bülbülü, written by Ata Demirer, tells the story of Cengiz, whose biggest dream is to release a cassette. Cengiz works as a singer in a tea garden in Bursa. Cengiz's life changes suddenly when he meets Taşkın.

Cengiz thinks it would be a good idea to use a composition by the famous composer of the era, Şerafettin, to make a big break. To achieve this goal, Cengiz borrows money from his brother.
