Author Daniel Kahneman has passed away
It has been learned that Israeli-born American author and psychologist Daniel Kahneman has passed away.
The news of the death of Daniel Kahneman, who passed away at the age of 90, was announced by his stepdaughter Deborah Treisman. No statement was made regarding the cause of death or where Kahneman, who passed away on March 27, died.
Kahneman's research was known for debunking the concept of 'homo economicus,' which had been accepted since the era of Adam Smith as a rational being acting in accordance with personal interests.
Instead, Kahneman discovered that people often rely on intellectual shortcuts that lead to wrong decisions that are contrary to their own interests.
HE HAD WON A NOBEL
Kahneman made a name for himself in 2002 by winning that year's Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his work on "integrating insights from psychological research into economic science, especially concerning human judgment and decision-making under uncertainty."
