Aysel Gürel film cancelled
The film titled 'Aysel', which was planned to be shot in memory of the famous songwriter Aysel Gürel, has been cancelled due to a disagreement between Gürel's daughter, Müjde Ar, and the producer.
Preparations for a feature film telling the life story of the famous songwriter Aysel Gürel, who passed away in 2008, had been underway for some time.
The film 'Aysel', to be produced by Sev Yapım, was set to be directed by Özer Feyzioğlu. The screenplay for the film was being written by Aysel Gürel's daughter, Müjde Ar.
Miray Daner had been mentioned for the lead role, and it had been on the agenda for Gonca Vuslateri to play Sezen Aksu in the film.
DISAGREEMENT AROSE
According to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, it has been learned that while negotiations were ongoing, the film was cancelled due to a disagreement between Müjde Ar and the production company.
In the past, it was announced that BKM would also shoot a film titled "Aysel-Ne Kavgam Bitti Ne Sevdam" (Aysel-Neither My Struggle Nor My Love Has Ended), but that project was also shelved before it could be filmed.
