Bad news regarding Fatma Karanfil, the Şayeste of the series Aşk-ı Memnu

It has been revealed that veteran actress Fatma Karanfil, who left a lasting impression with the character Şayeste she brought to life in the series Aşk-ı Memnu, is fighting for her life.

It was learned that when Karanfil, who was diagnosed with cancer, received her diagnosis, multiple metastases had already begun.

According to the report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, Karanfil, who has stage 4 cancer, has been intubated in the intensive care unit at the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Murat Dilmener Hospital in Florya, where she is receiving treatment.

According to the latest news, Fatma Karanfil's doctors have informed her relatives that it is very difficult for the actress to wake up.

WHO IS FATMA KARANFİL?

Fatma Karanfil (born February 3, 1952, Eskişehir) is a Turkish theater, film, and television actress. She began her cinema career after winning third place in the Ses magazine competition in 1968.

Karanfil, who married Ali Kocatepe in 1975 but later divorced, received textile training in London between 1976 and 1980. Despite being diagnosed with breast cancer, Karanfil overcame the illness and returned to her work in 2001.

She returned to the spotlight in 2008 with her role in the series Aşk-ı Memnu, which aired on Kanal D.

Fatma Karanfil had portrayed the character of Fatma in Keloğlan, one of the legendary productions of Yeşilçam.
