Nemo, who won the Eurovision Song Contest, held for the 68th time this year in Malmö, Sweden, has sent a message to Turkey.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had stated after the contest regarding the artist, "The fact that the male artist who came in first appeared in the contest in a furry jacket and a pink satin skirt is confirmation of a shameful degeneration."

Sharing a video message on their social media account, Nemo said, "Hello, I'm Nemo. I send my love to my friends and fans in Turkey. I hope we can see each other soon, miss each other less, and enjoy music together."

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had targeted Nemo with these words at his party's group meeting this week:

''The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, held for the 68th time in Malmö, Sweden, with the participation of 25 countries, has documented the kind of threat humanity is facing without needing many words. Meanwhile, although there were intense objections to the Israeli singer, no results were achieved. The fact that the aforementioned contest, which is more political than artistic, has turned into propaganda for moral collapse, and that a third gender stuck between male and female has been put into circulation, has become a cautionary tale in terms of showing the dimensions of the rot. The dosage of marginality is at terrifying levels. The decaying social and cultural structure of the West has practically taken the stage. The fact that the Swiss male artist who came in first appeared in the contest in a furry jacket, heavy makeup, and a pink satin skirt is nothing but confirmation of a shameful degeneration. If this is called modernity, we say: down with such an understanding of modernity. If this is called modernism, we emphasize that we do not want such a modern expression and perception. I want to state with determination that we will not seek and find contemporaneity and modernity in the barren field of cultural melting and spiritual crisis, but in our own essence and our own value judgments, and that we will prove this to the whole world in the new century. By adhering to our moral standards, by remaining ourselves, by defending our civilizational values, by protecting our family structure, in short, as both Turks and Muslims, we will write the 'I'la-yı Kelimetullah' (Exaltation of the Word of God) on the clean pages of this century, and we will heroically proclaim the epic of Kızılelma. As long as we trust our nation, as long as we do not let a stain fall on our national unity and solidarity.''
