In the Altınkum neighborhood of Edremit, 65-year-old Osman Alkan, the brother of famous actress Banu Alkan, lost his life as a result of an unfortunate accident.
Alkan, who lost his balance and fell to the ground while walking, hit his head on the sidewalk and passed away at the scene.
Upon notification by citizens in the area, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Examinations confirmed that Osman Alkan had lost his life.
An investigation has been launched to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
