Barış Manço's stage partner Hüseyin Cebeci found shot with a hunting rifle

Percussionist Hüseyin Cebeci, who was once a member of the Kurtalan Ekspres and shared the stage with Barış Manço, has been found dead in his home.

SHOT WITH A HUNTING RIFLE

The incident occurred on Müsgebi Street in the Müsgebi neighborhood of Bodrum, after relatives who had not heard from Cebeci for a long time went to his home. Upon entering the house, they found the artist lying motionless on the floor, having been shot with a hunting rifle.

Following the report, medical and police teams were dispatched to the address. Upon arriving at the scene, 112 Emergency Health teams determined in their initial examination that Hüseyin Cebeci had lost his life.

According to a report by Kenan Gürbüz from Muğla Gazetesi, police teams took security measures around the house and launched a detailed investigation at the scene. It was reported that whether Cebeci's death was a suicide or occurred for another reason will be clarified following forensic examinations.

BODY TAKEN TO FORENSIC MEDICINE

The famous musician's body was taken to the Muğla Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death. It was learned that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM IBB CULTURE

Following the tragic news, a condolence message was shared by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Department of Culture, Arts and Social Affairs. The statement read, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Hüseyin Cebeci, former percussionist of the legendary band Kurtalan Ekspres. We wish God's mercy upon the artist and extend our condolences to his family, loved ones, and the music community."
