Bella Hadid speaks out on 'death threats'
Speaking about the conflict between Israel and Hamas, model Bella Hadid said, "My phone number has been leaked. My family and I are constantly receiving death threats," and called on authorities for help.
Model Bella Hadid has spoken for the first time about the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Saying, "Forgive me for my silence," the model announced that she has been receiving death threats.
Hadid stated, "I am receiving death threats every day. My phone number has been leaked and my family is in danger. I will no longer remain silent. Fear is not an option. The people and children in Palestine, especially in Gaza, cannot afford for us to be silent. They are the brave ones, not us."
'I MOURN FOR THE FAMILIES'
Hadid continued her statement with the following remarks:
"I mourn for the children who have lost their lives and their family members in the attacks on Gaza. I mourn for the Israeli families suffering. Putting aside the history of the region, I condemn any and all terrorist attacks against civilians. No child or person should be taken away from their family. This applies to both Israeli and Palestinian people. It is very important to understand how hard it is to be Palestinian; the world sees us as terrorists who do not want peace."
'WE ARE ALL ONE'
Giving a message of unity, Hadid emphasized that she expects the same from leaders, saying, "My family has witnessed the violence committed against Palestine for 75 years. We must act together. We are all one; God created us equal. There are rules of war and these rules must be followed no matter what. Wherever we are, we must pressure leaders on this issue, not forget the urgent needs in Gaza, and ensure that innocent Palestinian civilians are not forgotten in this war."
