Berfu Yenenler’s statement on Adnan Oktar: She escaped becoming a ‘Kedicik’ at the last minute

140journos’ release of the ‘Kedicik’ (Kitten) documentary has brought the organization of Adnan Oktar, who was arrested and sentenced to prison, back into the spotlight.

The documentary described how the organization approached people in luxury shopping malls and ensnared them into Adnan Oktar’s web through a system known as the 'turnstile.' According to a report on Onedio, it has emerged that one of the people the organization tried to contact was Berfu Yenenler, the wife of Eser Yenenler.

Berfu Yenenler, who participated in the Miss Turkey Beauty Pageant, recounted her experience with the organization.

THEY APPROACHED HER AT THE MALL AND GAVE HER A CARD

Yenenler stated that about two months after the beauty pageant, while she was walking in a shopping mall, a well-dressed person approached her and, just as described in the documentary, asked her, "Are you a model or an actress?"

The member of the Adnan Oktar organization who approached Yenenler at the mall told her they were collaborating with a jewelry brand and would soon be going to Dubai for a shoot, after which they gave her the business card mentioned in the Kedicik documentary. Yenenler noted that she still has that card in her possession.

IF SHE HAD BEEN YOUNGER, SHE COULD HAVE BEEN A VICTIM

Berfu Yenenler said that it was purely by chance that she did not fall into the organization's trap, adding that if she had been younger than 19 at the time, they might have been able to deceive her as well.
