Beyoğlu Municipality delivers good news to retirees: 10,000 TL market support on the way!
Beyoğlu Municipality has been making headlines recently with its initiatives for retirees. The municipality, which has enabled retirees to adapt to social life through its 'Retiree House' project, has announced its new support for retirees. It announced that it will provide 10,000 TL in Market Support to provide economic assistance to retirees in need.
IT WAS A CAMPAIGN PROMISE, NOW IT IS REALITY
Beyoğlu Municipality has taken a hopeful step into 2025. Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney has fulfilled the 'Market Support' promise he made to retired citizens during the March 31, 2024 local elections.
With the decision taken by the Municipal Council, 10,000 TL in Market Support will be provided to retired citizens in need residing in Beyoğlu to provide economic assistance.
The initiative, carried out by the Beyoğlu Municipality Social Assistance Affairs Directorate, aims to alleviate the economic burden on retirees and enable them to meet their basic needs more comfortably.
'WE WILL NOT LEAVE ANYONE ALONE IN BEYOĞLU'
Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney stated that the foundation of their social municipalism approach is human-oriented service and solidarity, saying, “For us, social municipalism is not just about producing services, but also about standing by those in need and touching their lives. We have carried out significant work in a short time to alleviate the economic difficulties of our retired citizens living in Beyoğlu and to increase their quality of life. As you know, the Retiree House we opened for the first time in Beyoğlu is one of these.
Now, within the scope of the promises we made during the election process, we are launching the Market Support for our retirees. We will not leave anyone alone in Beyoğlu. We are always by our people's side and will continue to be so.”
THE SECOND RETIREE HOUSE, WHICH CREATES SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR RETIREES, IS COMING
Having opened Beyoğlu's first Retiree House in Kasımpaşa, Beyoğlu Municipality has started work to open a second Retiree House in Kalaycı Bahçe.
All activities carried out at the Kasımpaşa Retiree House will also be available at the newly opened retiree house. From movie screenings to backgammon tournaments, and from health screenings to psychological support, retirees in Kalaycı Bahçe will have the opportunity to benefit from many facilities.
Beyoğlu Municipality had previously provided winter shoe assistance to one thousand retirees in need and offered nearly a thousand retirees the opportunity to have a summer vacation at the Kefken Camp.
