Boycott support from Kızılcık Şerbeti actress Evrim Alasya

A large crowd gathered in Saraçhane following the protests that began after the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel called on the public to gather in Saraçhane once again following the arrest decision. During the event, which was attended by thousands, Özel's call for a boycott of mainstream and pro-government media drew attention.

Famous actress Evrim Alasya also supported Özgür Özel's call. Making a statement on her social media account, Alasya shared the following words:

'The unjust arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu is an intervention not only against one person, but against the will of the people. There are many ways to stand against this injustice. One of the most peaceful and effective methods at our disposal is a boycott. When consumption decreases, tax revenues fall, and the capital that serves as the sole pillar of a government that has turned its back on the people is shaken. A determined boycott has the power to directly influence state mechanisms. We will not take a step back. The impact of a boycott grows over time. We will continue with determination and discipline.'
