Britney Spears' 'jewelry' statement: 'They were stolen'

American singer Britney Spears, once one of the most popular names of her era, continues to stay in the headlines.

The singer, who surprises everyone by sharing racy photos on her social media account, continues to make waves with every post and statement. Most recently, Britney Spears announced that all of her jewelry had been stolen.

Britney Spears said, "I'm afraid to buy new ones now because I'm afraid they'll go missing. So I buy cheap and fake ones now. But it's still very hard because some pieces were made entirely for me. Even my baby cross, which I've worn since I was 4 years old, is gone."

WHO IS BRITNEY SPEARS?

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is a Grammy Award-winning American singer, dancer, and actress. She has become one of the best-selling music artists of all time, selling over 150 million records worldwide. She is the 8th Best-Selling Female Artist and the Best-Selling Youngest Female Singer in American music history.

In 2009, she entered the Guinness World Records as the Best Female Singer of the 21st century. She ranked first on Forbes magazine's list of the Richest Celebrities Under 25 in 2003, and ninth on the list of Richest Celebrities in 2006 with a fortune of 100 million dollars. In 2021, she was included in the list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time magazine.

She became known in the early 1990s with "The Mickey Mouse Club." After a five-year hiatus, she returned with her first album, "...Baby One More Time," and started a period in pop music that would be dominated by very young singers for a while. The following year, she topped many charts again with her second album, "Oops!... I Did It Again." The album sold 1.3 million copies in its first week, becoming the best-selling album in a single week of all time.

With the arrival of the 2000s, Spears, who remained in the spotlight constantly, first with her advertising deal with Pepsi and then with her boyfriend at the time, Justin Timberlake, released her third and fourth albums in this period. These albums were more artistic in content compared to the previous ones, but lower in sales.

The artist, who married dancer Kevin Federline in 2004, gave birth to her first son, Sean Preston, within a year, and her second son, Jayden James, on September 12, 2006. She divorced Federline in 2007 and was in the headlines in the following period due to the breakdowns and scandals she experienced.

Returning to her music career in 2007 with her new album Blackout, Spears achieved significant success with this album. Releasing the album Circus in 2008, Spears topped the American album chart and many other international album charts. In 2009, she released her compilation album titled The Singles Collection and entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number one with 3 of her singles.

Her 2011 album, Femme Fatale, also entered the Billboard 200 chart at number one. She is the only female artist to have four of her four albums enter the charts at number one.

She ranks third among female artists with the most number-one albums in America. Additionally, the album's first single, "Hold It Against Me," entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number one, and Britney is the second female singer after Mariah Carey to have two songs enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number one in a row.

Spears sold 107,000 copies in the first week in America with ''Britney Jean,'' which she released on November 29, 2013. With this album, she broke the record for the ''fastest album to reach number one'' on iTunes (19 minutes). Only two singles were released from the album (Work B**ch-Perfume). This album by Spears did not achieve as many sales as the others and sold approximately 1.3 million worldwide.

Spears also started her Vegas concerts, ''Britney: Piece Of Me,'' on December 29, 2013. Due to the concert receiving more attention than expected, new shows were added. Spears' two-year Las Vegas concerts ended in December 2015.

Spears also entered the women's lingerie sector. She promoted the collection she named ''Intimate Britney Spears'' in New York on September 9, 2014.

Meanwhile, she announced in her interviews that she was meticulously continuing her work for her 9th album and that she would appear with a new style. Her duet with ''Iggy Azalea,'' titled ''Pretty Girls,'' was released on May 5, 2015.

Spears released her 9th studio album, Glory, under the RCA Records label on August 26, 2016. The album sold 111,000 copies in its first week and entered the US Billboard 200 chart at number 3.
