Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming lashes out: 'Stop scaring people'

World-famous actor Bruce Willis was diagnosed in March 2022 with aphasia, a condition that affects communication skills such as speaking, understanding, and reading and writing, caused by dysfunction in certain areas of the brain.

The 68-year-old actor's family announced last February that the star had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Bruce Willis, who retired from acting due to his illness and has been living away from the public eye, saw his wife Emma Heming lash out at reports regarding his health.

Sharing on her social media account, Heming said:

"I just fell for a clickbait headline on the internet. I saw a headline about my family, and the headline said there is no more joy in my husband. I can tell you that this is far from the truth. Stop scaring other people who have these diseases. It is a type of neurological disease, that is all. There is nothing else to see here."

"You are starting a new chapter in your life, and that chapter is full of love, full of connection. It is full of joy, full of happiness. As far as I can tell, we are being educated by the wrong people. These are people who do not take the time to properly educate themselves on any neurocognitive disease.

Why am I brave enough to say this? Because I see headline after headline and articles containing misinformation. I am just talking about basic dementia awareness and what is being presented to the public."
