Buddy Duress has passed away
Buddy Duress, who starred alongside Robert Pattinson in the film 'Good Times', has passed away at the age of 38. His brother announced his death.
The 38-year-old actor, whose real name was Michael C. Stathis but who used the name Buddy Duress in his professional life, has died, his brother Christopher Stathis announced.
In a statement to People, Christopher Stathis revealed that his brother died in November 2023. It remains unclear why the actor's death was not announced for months.
DRUG COCKTAIL CAUSED HIS DEATH
Stathis stated that his brother died of cardiac arrest, which he said was caused by a 'drug cocktail' he had taken.
Buddy Duress was known for his roles in films by Benny and Josh Safdie.
Buddy Duress, who starred alongside Robert Pattinson in the Safdie brothers' acclaimed film Good Times, had previously been in and out of jail frequently due to drug use.
