Questions remain unanswered regarding the suspicious death of university student Rojin Kabaiş, whose lifeless body was found 18 days after she went missing in Van on September 27. The Association for Children and Women First, which is closely following the case, issued a statement calling on the competent authorities. The statement included the following: "Judicial and administrative authorities must deepen the investigation into the death of Rojin Kabaiş, uncover all details of the incident, and share them with the public. Eliminating doubts and ensuring justice is not only a legal but a human responsibility."
The full statement is as follows:
"Statement for Rojin Kabaiş:
The tragic death of Rojin Kabaiş, who went missing in Van in recent months and whose lifeless body was unfortunately found in Lake Van, has deeply wounded not only her family but the entire society.
The possibility that a young woman's right to life has been taken away has caused a great wound in the public conscience. However, the fact that the questions surrounding Rojin's death and the struggle for justice being waged on this matter have not found sufficient resonance in the public eye causes us deep concern.
Rojin Kabaiş's father has been waging a solitary struggle for justice since the day his daughter went missing. This struggle is a matter of defending human dignity, not just for a father, but for all of us. It is essential for the authorities to ensure that this sad incident is clarified in all its aspects for the sake of establishing the society's sense of justice.
At this point, as the Association for Children and Women First, we make the following call:
1. Responsibility of the Authorities: "
2. Public Support: This struggle cannot be left solely on the shoulders of a family. The public must heed the voice of Rojin's father and support this struggle for justice.
3. Social Sensitivity Against Femicide:
We believe that Rojin's death should once again force us to question all the conditions that threaten women's right to life. In an order where femicide and violence are normalized, such tragedies are proof that this is not just an individual, but a systemic problem.
As the Association for Children and Women First, we support Rojin Kabaiş's quest for justice to the end. We will continue to fight for the incident to be clarified and for all those responsible to be held accountable. We invite all authorities and the public to be sensitive in this struggle and to support Rojin's family. Justice can only be achieved through organized solidarity.
We have not forgotten Rojin, and we will not let her be forgotten.
Association for Children and Women First"
