Cem Yılmaz has made headlines with his responses to critical comments directed at him on the social media platform X.
In particular, he responded to a comment regarding Ferhan Şensoy not passing the 'kavuk' (a traditional symbol of Turkish theater) to him by stating, "I am not a theater actor."
Furthermore, he replied to a criticism stating, "This is not art, nor is this an artist," by referencing the user's profile information.
Yılmaz later made a general post, using the following expressions: If this ever happens to you one day, you will understand why I focus on my work. Managing to deal with this many crazies pestering for this long is difficult enough. You look and see a normal person, but they are crazy... No dialogue can be established. But they want something! Then, a sense of condescension! I never understood it. I hope luck smiles upon you, my dear brother, and that things turn out just as you dream! But don't you put in any effort at all, okay?
