Ceyda Ateş: 'The person I would most like to have seen up close in my life is Atatürk'

Ceyda Ateş, who became etched in memories with her role as Hande in the series Adını Feriha Koydum, settled in the USA after marrying businessman Buğra Toplusoy.

Ateş, who took a role in the film 'Son Dilek' after a long hiatus, made statements to MAG magazine.

The famous actress said, "The person I would most like to have seen up close in my life is Atatürk; I would have loved to listen to the proclamation of the republic in parliament in person."

'I MISS TURKEY, BUT...'

Describing their life in America, Ateş said, "Life in America is very enjoyable for me. The region where I live is always summer and sunny. This gives me peace. Since my childhood, because I worked out of town due to sets, getting used to a place has always been easy for me. I can immediately adapt to the environment I am in because I look to be happy, and this mindset allows me to hold onto where I am. America was my childhood dream, and it came true.

Of course, I miss Turkey; my family, my friends, the environment I am used to, my work... Even though I come and go for my work, there are some activities I cannot participate in, and my mind stays there, but at the end of the day, I choose to be peaceful, and I am peaceful. I satisfy the parts I miss; at least there is video calling now," she explained.

'IF THIS IS ME HAVING QUIT...'

Finally, the beautiful actress, who appeared in front of the cameras with the film "Son Dilek," said, "It has great meaning and importance for me; it is a very beautiful story and a project with a strong social message. The story of a mother and daughter will make everyone cry and make people question themselves. It also contributed a lot to my acting. It will be one of the places where I show my range in drama. There are projects I am reading; both cinema and series. I hope I will be in a project again soon. People generally think I have quit because I am in America, but that is not the case. This year, I did one digital project and three feature films. If this is me having quit, I have nothing more to say!

I miss TV series sets very much; we will meet as soon as possible. I love my job so much that I sometimes took the wrong steps and made the wrong decisions regarding projects because of it. Because of this, I think more carefully now; I will do what I believe is right. If I had my old mindset, I would have accepted many projects just to be on set, but I don't make that mistake anymore," she said.
