Ceylan Ertem reacts to the euthanasia of stray animals: 'Kill one and let's see what happens!'
Singer Ceylan Ertem has reacted to the draft law prepared for the euthanasia of stray animals. Ertem said, "Go ahead and kill one, and let's see what happens."
The Justice and Development Party (AKP) is set to amend the Animal Protection Law for a new regulation regarding stray animals.
Acting upon the request of President Erdoğan, AKP officials have initiated work on a legislative proposal that envisions the 'euthanasia' of stray dogs on the grounds that they pose a 'life-threatening danger'.
'GO AHEAD AND KILL ONE AND LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS'
While reactions from numerous citizens and social media users continue regarding the preparation of the legislative proposal, singer Ceylan Ertem expressed her reaction with the following words:
"This bill cannot pass. Let's say it did. We will all watch together what kind of monster I turn into. Go ahead and kill one, and let's see what happens. I'm writing it down here," she stated.
Bu yasa tasarısı geçemez.
