In a chain-reaction traffic accident that occurred in Muğla, one vehicle caught fire and 7 people were injured, one of them critically. Fire crews intervened and extinguished the burning vehicle.
Automobiles with license plates 48 YS 746 and Fiat-branded 48 AEN 521, along with a commercial vehicle with license plate 35 AOC 896, which were heading in the direction of Menteşe, collided with each other. Upon notification of the accident, fire, gendarmerie, police, UMKE, and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
Fire crews arriving at the scene rescued 2 people trapped in the vehicle with license plate 48 YS 746 and also extinguished the fire in the burning automobile and the commercial vehicle. The 7 people injured in the accident, one of whom is in critical condition, were transported to healthcare facilities in Muğla after receiving initial treatment at the scene.
Following the accident, the highway turned into a scene of wreckage, and the road was closed to traffic. Transportation on the highway was provided via a side road.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
